I used to stare at the LinkedIn box for 20 minutes. Delete. Rewrite. Sound too corporate. Sound too casual. Post nothing.
Now I post 4x a week, in about 10 minutes total. All dictated. Most of them while I'm out walking.
Here's the exact workflow.
When I type, I self-edit. I write like I'm applying for a job. No stories, no edge, no me.
When I talk, I actually sound like me. And on LinkedIn right now, human beats polished.
Voice was always the answer. The friction was transcription — Apple dictation garbling words, re-typing everything anyway. Not worth it.
Then I switched to Wispr Flow.
Last week: 4 posts, ~18,000 impressions, 2 inbound DMs that turned into calls. Total writing time: under 40 minutes for the week.
Compare that to my old system: 1 post every two weeks, 400 impressions, endless guilt.
Three things sold me:
I'm not a "thought leader." I'm just documenting work out loud. That's what performs now.
If you want to post consistently without becoming a content person, try dictating instead of typing.
I use Wispr Flow daily — grab it here with my link and give the walk-and-talk method a week: https://ref.wisprflow.ai/hector-wheatley
