How I Made £123 from Vinted in 2026

I only recently started selling on Vinted this year. Most of what I’ve sold so far is old clothes I’ve had for years and never worn. I had a proper spring clean, and with the wedding coming up, I wanted to free up some cash for the wedding pot and the honeymoon pot.

I’ve also done a bit of reselling — mainly old books — but I’ve definitely bought more mid-tier items than I’ve sold this year. I did pick up an Amiga Prophet, which was a nice find.

Why Vinted works for me

I enjoy the negotiation side of it. People on Vinted are generally much more open to offers than they are on eBay. You can usually get a decent discount if you’re polite and patient. That said, shipping costs can eat into your margins quite quickly, so you have to be selective about what’s actually worth selling.

One of my better flips this year was a watch I bought and sold for around £30 profit. Nothing massive, but it shows there are still good deals to be found if you know what you’re looking for.

How much have I made so far?

After fees and shipping, I’ve cleared £63 this year from Vinted — plus another £60 from selling my old camera (I’d upgraded, and it was just gathering dust). That brings the total to £123. It’s not life-changing money, but it’s been a useful way to declutter and put a bit extra toward the wedding.

Small wins add up — especially when the alternative was just letting clothes sit in the wardrobe for another few years.
